Dave Kaminski – Longevity Marketing

I started doing business online back in 1994. I’ve sold a lot of products, both physical and digital. I’ve made a lot of money. I’ve lost some money too. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. And I’ve learned a lot of hard lessons.

But the most important (and lucrative) thing I ever learned was back in 2005. You see, that’s when I became fed up with being at the mercy of the “powers to be” online (like Google).

It seemed every time something changed…like search algorithms, AdWords policies or what affiliates were doing…my business took a hit. Then I’d have to spend all my time trying to fix what happened…instead of running my business.

So I quit. I quite doing everything the gurus at the time were teaching. I quit doing what everyone else was doing. Shoot, I quit doing everything I had been doing. And I started testing my own ideas (luckily for me I had plenty of them, plus I had several web sites with over 100,000 visitors a month that I could test my ideas on).

This went on for about 8 months. Some of the stuff I came up with failed spectacularly. But some of it started to stick…and stick really well. While I’d love to say that I was becoming a marketing genius, the truth is I had some dumb luck. Along with heaps of lessons and strategies learned through trial and error. Whatever the case…

Of course 8 months isn’t much of a testing period. So I continued testing, refining and perfecting my system…over the past 8 years.

And I decided to slap a name on it too; Longevity Marketing. That’s because unlike all the fads and gimmicks being pushed (where you maybe make a few bucks before your web site dies), with this system you build legitimate businesses that actually grow bigger and more profitable year after year.

For example, I used Longevity Marketing to launch WebVideoUniversity.com back in 2008. It went from a brand new web site with zero visitors…that no one had ever heard of…to 6-figures in sales the very first year. And the 5 years after that? Each year has been even more profitable than the last…all while I work less and less..

Or take the web site I referenced in the headline at the top of this page. $241,973 in sales, over 12 months, by making just 18 blog posts to a single web site. I used the Longevity Marketing System on that web site too. Full-disclosure though…numbers like that don’t happen overnight. And I don’t mean to imply that they do. You have to work the system…over time…to enjoy success like that (the key words being work and over time).

But when you do…when you simply follow the recipe I lay out…you can make more money each and every year, while working less each and every year…and all while ignoring what’s going on with Google, Facebook, SEO, Twitter, Social media and even your competition.
