And during these years, I learned a lot. Some really, really good marketing strategies. And I also learned some stuff that made my skin crawl.

It was the way some of these “green room” conversations that opened my eyes to the way things really work.

Here’s a dirty little secret you may not know… many of the “guru’s” make money by keeping you in the dark. The more you think you need them, the faster you’ll moveup their “funnel”. And that eventually leads you right to their $10,000.00 or $15,000.00 “coaching” program. It’s all done on purpose and they have it down to a science. You don’t even know it’s happening to you.

But this all hinges on their ability to keep you confused.

Here’s a prime example. It’s an actual handout one of my client’s sent me. It was from a “marketing coach” who was trying to sell him a multi-thousand dollar coaching program. They said he NEEDED to implement this complete mindmap to make money online. He must follow every step or he’ll never be successful.

He forwarded this to me in a panic… not sure how he could ever to do this himself
(I blacked out a few parts to keep his and the coach’s name confidential), but nothing
else has been changed or altered (seriously).

I wish I was kidding.

I wish I was creative enough to create a mindmap like this. It’s actually quite brilliant.

Go ahead, I dare you to even try to count all of the steps, sequences and follow-ups you’d have to create. I lost track of the boxes at 81 – and gave up.
